MODESTY.
oh modesty
modesty
modesty
modesty.
How many times have we been told that our skirt is too short, our pants are two tight, and our shirt is to low. how. many. times. Almost every time this happened to me I would respond with a snide remark and continue my day without changing a thing, why should I change the way I dress and my wardrobe for the sake of a guy that can't keep his thoughts and actions. (well that was blunt...) But what were my intentions in wearing that short skirt in the first place? Why do I choose to wear the lower cut top when there is a modest top hanging right next to it in the closet? Why do I intentionally choose something that will make a guys thoughts go straight down the toilet?

There isn't any direct way of asking them face to face that isn't awkward (at least not that I know of... If you find one tell me!) then how on earth are we supposed to REALLY know how to help a brother out?
First off, I think it is important to understand that we can really help a guy, but we are not responsible. It is our duty as sisters of virtue (hey hey blog name) to dress in a way that helps a brother in Christ away from toxic sinful thoughts. It is a guys duty to not stare at a girl in an inappropriate way (you get what I mean jelly bean?) The whole ordeal is a balance of help and accountability.
here are a few thoughts that might help you form your opinion about the matter
dress like you are walking along side Jesus. (cheesy but think about it though...)
Would you show that much skin off for your grandpa?
What's the difference between a bikini and underwear?
Would I live uncomfortably to help a guy out with lust?
How much immodest propaganda is on the TV, Ads, in movies etc. that guys have to deal with?
What are your thought? Comment below! lets have a discussion about this! I don't have all the answers so tell me what you think :)
